Anyway, I agree with NR 100%. Got the box yesterday, OMG...talk about fast shipping, and a great product. Packaged professionally. The emblem is TOTALLY stock looking......I can't wait to get it installed.
I'll throw together a little quick DIY for this for everyone. Looks very easy, staight forward and includes EVERYTHING you need to do this install.

Before I move onto the DIY and pics...let me tell you...this is not what I expected. In that, my expectations were far exceeded. I thought..."well, I'll give it a shot...if it sucks I'll just disconnect 1 wire and the emblem looks factory when not lit". Boy was I wrong. I am in love with this. It's so subtle...people will have to do a double take to realize that it's lit and wonder whether or not that's something factory. It matches my LED license plate lights perfectly (among all the other LED's on the car)...shipped quickly and was very well packed...the owner of Amp'd Emblems was really cool and communicated when it was shipped and answered all questions willingly. Long story short, I'm pleased...very pleased and I'm glad I decided to be one of the first to give this a shot.
Trust me...this thing looks classy. I wouldn't be surprised if cars start doing this from the factory in the future as you can already see they are exploring the use of LED technology.
AMP'D...thanks for a great deal and a great product. I am a happy dude...

Hey guys, I just installed mine today. As I have said before, excellent service, fast shipping, Ampd is awesome and has touched base with me about everything. The product is smartly designed and packaged.
First off I want to say this mod may not give the effect you are thinking in your head. It isn't loud and blingy. It is very subtle. I've taken a chance on a number of mods and I will say that this is another one of my mods that I'll credit to my better judgment.
Once people see it at meets I know they'll want one too. Just as I predicted before, it is true; the pics do it no justice. I got white and IMO it is PERFECT!! (Perhaps if you got different colors the effect is different.) The light is indirect and as NR said you are hard pressed to really notice it. It looks tasteful. The light looks different at different angles and reflects off the chrome of the emblem itself. You WDP guys have to get in on this because any color would look good on your car and also the light will probably halo better. Darker colors won't really have that effect and the light will mostly reflect off the chrome.
It was a super easy install. I've taken my trunk liner off many times and I have the CCFL license plate lights already tapped in. It is a perfect match with the CCFL lights so this completes the look. Everything throws a nice clean white light. I don't think the install should take anyone more than 1 hour.

Thanks so much for the Amp'd Emblem. NR installed it this past weekend and I just LOVE how it looks. He took a few pictures to post on FB but he isn't happy with how they turned out, so we'll try again this week (and maybe after I wash my car again!) and put the best ones out there. I attached a quick one that I took with my cell phone just to 'brag' to my family via picture message.
So, do you do any vehicle advertising? I easily drive over 33k miles per year and I would gladly advertise for you. I just LOVE my Amp'd Emblem that much. I even have it on the exterior of my red cell phone to show it off when I'm not in my car. :)

Easy install. Emblem looks great. Cameras suck at capturing the rich red LED color. My P&S made it look orange, kinda like Ampd's avatar. Trust me, it is a deep red color and looks great on her Redondo Red Pearl paint.
Ampd, great product, great packaging (even included the fishing line to remove the old emblem) and great service. We are very happy with the results. Thank you again!

NR and I installed the Amp'd Emblem tonight and it turned out GREAT! I'm very happy with the emblem. The install is very quick, simple and easy. The best part is that the look is very classy. I installed it and that thing looks great!
I've got the blue emblem on my 01 CL Type S and that thing looks awesome! I have gotten so many compliments on it as well. The wiring is simple and the only part that takes any time is removing the trunk liner.
Thank you!! I am definitely very happy I chose blue as it looks perfect at night. I wired it like you suggested to the running lights in the back and I love how even the emblem flashes when I lock my doors. If an illuminated front emblem is ever made for the CL, I am definitely in. Thanks again Ampd!

I would have to say I am very satisfied. The light reflects well off of the black giving it a nice subtle glow. So if you're interested...I say go for it.
Easy install, puts on that finishing touch IMO. and you get to keep the blacked-out look too.

Install was a breeze!! I love it man!! Even my wife likes it!! Anyone who hasn't got one stop sleeping on it and get it!! It's a great accent to the car. And dealing with Amp'd was a great transaction altogether as well. They go that extra mile and provide everything needed to remove your old emblem and to install theirs too. And installation is so simple too.

Wow, wow, WOW!
These new emblems are out-of-the-park gorgeous!! Overall, I am very happy. I was afraid the rear one was going to be too bright, but I think the fact that they have the white LEDs limits the glare on the darker colors and you can get away with the Extreme LEDs.
I have a pic of the old ones next to the new ones lit up on my test bench and the difference is incredible. It got me a bit scared how bright they were! Once on the car, they look great.

Yeah the install was easy. The hard part was cleaning the mess I made from the old emblem. I still have to do some work to clean up the surface on the hatchback but all n all I love the new emblem.
Well I've had my emblem on for a couple of days and so far I've noticed cars behind me for one, get right up on my rear and two, when I stop at a stop light I've noticed some drivers actually turn off their head lights (I'm guessing to get a better look at my emblem). So far I'm getting some cool reaction from my new emblem. I am very satisfied with the results ^_^.

The emblem is AMAZING! So much better than I expected. Even my father loved it, and he’s almost 64, so that says a lot. He said that linking it to the third brake light made it look like this is a factory option. I guess this might not hold true for other colors where staying on full-time might look better, but being red, this thing is like a fourth, really awesome brake light.
Again, many thanks. I absolutely LOVE the emblem and was blown away by the finished product. Pics and videos do not do it justice. It is stunning in person!

The night run:
I pulled into the open public car park just on dusk. I parked nose in (not normal for these events) in between two modern day classics. The crowd built over the next 1/2 hour or so. Old convertible Caddy's, Mustangs, 'Vettes, rolled in along with Australian icons of Fords and Holdens. It was was pretty intimidating company. My Monaro club was well presented with maybe 30 Monaros sprinkled thoughout the offerings.
Nose in, butt out, light on...
'What an awsome idea', 'Tricky', 'How did...', 'That's fantastic', 'Hey Fred come and look at this', were some of the comments.
In a field of high end classics the Amp'd Emblem drew passersby to the butt of the Monaro past modern and nostalgic classics for a closer look. Without the LEDs people would not have looked twice at a 2002 Monaro with '50s and '60s classics on show. These shows attract car lovers that appreciate details. They usually walk around cars at arms length only stopping at favorites and very rarely voicing their opinions aloud. It was a pleasure to be within earshot of these same people getting up close and personal (within inches) and hearing the comments. Once they have stopped they walk around the car to see what else has been done. My engine bay lighting that was visible throught the hood gills then became a talking point.
You can spend thousands of dollars trying to get people to stop at your car and appreciate the work that has been done. Your Amp'd Emblems draw them like moths to a flame. My club members were alerted to the attention one of 'their' club cars was getting and soon joined the onlookers. Street cred boost 100%. The club photographer got some shots at the club secretary's behest. This usually results in a mention in the club rag. I hope they go a step further and put it on the website. I will keep you informed.
